Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) is a leading private university in Malaysia. UTAR nowadays has more than 25,000 students in 2 campuses. More than 56,000 students were graduated from UTAR, with 95% graduate employability rate within 6 months of graduation.
UTAR offers more than 110 academic programmes in its nine faculties, four centres and three institutes. Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman is committed to promoting research and scholastic developments through its Research, Development and Commericalisation (RDC) initiative, UTAR Global Research Network and its 32 research centres. Tapping on its strong research culture and infrastructure, UTAR has initiated the UTAR Undergraduate Research Scheme (URS) to allow undergraduates undergo a structured programme to train them in various aspects of research project implementation.
UTAR has established formal collaboration with about 200 university partners and 100 industry partners from 25 economies. These collaborations have brought about mutual initiatives such as staff and students exchanges, joint research and supervision, study tours, internships, cyber classrooms, industry consultation and many educational projects.
