Our Medicine & Health Sciences programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and most of them obtained full accreditation status from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in Malaysia. Professional recognition and accreditation are being sought actively from leading Malaysia and international professional bodies for the relevant professional-related programmes.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Biomedical Science

UTAR's Bachelor of Science (Hons) Biomedical Science offered by the Faculty of Science is an interdisciplinary programme with a combination   of biology and pre-clinical sciences. The programme aims to equip graduates with strong basic knowledge in the field of health sciences.

Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Hons)

The Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (Hons) programme aims to produce Chinese Medicine practitioners who possess in-depth knowledge     of Chinese Medicine’s unique principles, diagnosis and treatment employing acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and other therapeutic approaches, as well as western medical sciences and diagnosis.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Dietetics

A 4-year programme consists of 12 trimesters. The programme incorporates a wide-ranging scope of knowledge required for Dietetics   practice; including biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, human nutrition, fundamentals of   food preparation, the role of nutrition in disease prevention and treatment.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health

This programme provides a coherent body of professional knowledge, technical skills and soft skills with the aims to produce competent professionals who can adapt to different roles and responsibilities in a challenging and dynamic work environment.

The UTAR MBBS programme follows a systemic and integrated approach that aims to equip graduates with not only the required clinical skills, but also effective communication skills to function as competent and caring doctors.
