List down your questions: There will be a lot of students and parents/guardians visiting UTAR open day. It is a good to first think about what you would like to ask. This will ensure you get as much as relevant information to make a good decision in your study option.
Attend career talks: The talks are delivered by our subject experts who are teaching the relevant subjects for years and/or have many years of industry experience. Many of them are teaching, doing research and providing industry consultations at the same time. This is the perfect way to gather more information on your interested subject area and to discuss with our experts about what needed by industry now and in future.
Join the campus tour: You are not just choosing a programme, but a university, a campus, a city and a lifestyle. Give yourself time to discover everything about UTAR and what available around the campus. The beauty of UTAR open day is that the campus tour is fully guided by students and our student ambassadors. Therefore, talk to them about studying and living around UTAR. More importantly, spend some time to walk and eat around campus - plenty of nice food around our campuses!
Participate in career guidance workshops: You may or may not know about your personality and what programme suit you. It is always worthwhile to join the career guidance workshops even this workshop is typically provided for students who are indecisive in their programme of study or career choice. This will help you to discover further your interest, ability and personality in order to determine the fields best suited to your personality.
Bring your friends and family: Take them alone with you as they can provide some helping hands to you. They will ask additional questions that you may not ask, and you can have someone you can talk things through after an open day.
