The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Chinese is the first of its kind in Malaysia, designed to equip students with a strong foundation in Chinese Studies and the ability to apply this knowledge in education, digital technology, media, culture, and communication. The programme focuses on practical and versatile skills, covering language and culture (including pronunciation training), teaching, and media communication. Graduates will be prepared for careers in education, publishing, translation, digital industries, cultural and political communication, and media, or they may pursue postgraduate research to further develop their academic expertise.

首创于马来西亚高等学府的文学士（荣誉学位）应用中文课程，旨在培育能够 立基于中文系传统知识，又能将相关知识应用于国内外华文教育、中文与数位 科技、文化及语言传播等领域的专才。本课程侧重培养综合型应用技能的人才 ，注重语言文化（含口语正音训练）、教育教学、媒体传播等领域的知识与技 能。学生毕业后可服务于国内外语文教育、数位科技、编辑出版、翻译、政经 文化及传播等业界，亦可攻读本系研究所，发展学术能力，从事研究工作。
