Guidance and counselling is a process that enables individuals to identify and develop their educational, career and psychological potentials in order to maximise their degree of satisfaction and societal contribution.

Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) Guidance and Counselling aims at providing students with the comprehensive professional knowledge and skills they need to manage a range of psychological issues, including developmental challenges, behavioural difficulties, socioemotional distress, and psychological stress from difficult various challenging situations.

The curriculum is designed beyond and above the Malaysian Board of Counsellor’s Standards and Requirements of Training for Counsellors. Students will receive intensive training to help people achieve their full potential and have their psychological well-being improved. The goal of the curriculum is to create highly skilled and ethical professional counsellors.
