How to Become a Logistician?

Logistics refers to the process of planning, managing and coordinating the movement of products from the point of production all the way to the customers. Because good logistics operations and management can lead to better customer satisfaction, increased market share and profitability, qualified logisticians are highly sought after by most companies.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the United Kingdom and the Society of Logisticians, Malaysia (LogM) in Malaysia recognise the UTAR Bachelor of Science (Honours) Logistics and International Shipping as an accredited qualification for membership once graduates have completed the required years of related experience.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that this is merely a suggested path for your reference. Some professional bodies provide more than one means to meet a specific criteria, and these options are subject to change without notice. It is therefore critical to confirm the current pathway with UTAR officials or appropriate professional organisations at the time of enrolment.
