Bachelor of Nursing (Honours)

Nursing, the largest health profession, plays a crucial role in determining national health outcomes. It is a unique profession, it has both the component of arts and sciences. The art of nursing is more than just knowing; it is doing. It bridges information from nurses to patients in a skilful way. On the other hand, the science of Nursing includes the utilization of critical thinking to make sound judgments. All these elements give nurses a significant wealth of knowledge and expertise in caring for the patient. Nursing is a rewarding career with a high demand nationally and globally.

UTAR’s Bachelor of Nursing Programme is approved by the Malaysian Nursing Board and is nationally accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. This programme offers the ideal preparation for the students’ future, with a robust curriculum in the core sciences and humanities, and extensive experience in evidence-based practice. This programme provides tertiary education that creates graduates who will develop a holistic approach to patient care and an ethical framework for effective decision-making. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are eligible to sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination to be licensed for practice as a Registered Nurse.
