Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has cultivated a strong culture for research among faculty members and students. UTAR has established the required infrastructure and system essential to achieving research excellence at UTAR. Undergraduate students are explored to research projects through UTAR Undergraduate Research Scheme (URS). There are 32 research centres where students can seek research training and attachment.
UTAR focuses on preparing students for a career in a globalised world. 95-97% of UTAR graduates are employed within 6 months of graduation. UTAR alumni work in multinational and SME companies in Malaysia and overseas.
Being home to various nationalities, UTAR makes an effort to consistently come up with initiatives to enhance the international student experience. From enrolment to graduation, UTAR assists international students at every stage of their time in the University.
